Follow the “Law’s of Motion”

A couple of weeks ago we introduced you to Newton’s Law of the Conservation of Energy, that states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it simply changes from one form to another.

Sir Isaac Newton also stated another set of laws, The Laws of Motion.
First Law: Every body remains in a state of rest or uniform motion unless it is acted upon by an external unbalanced force.

An example of Newton's First Law of Motion

Second Law: A body mass subject to a force undergoes an acceleration that has the same direction as the force and a magnitude that is directly proportional to the force and inversely proportional to the mass.

Third Law: To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The MTN Sciencentre has ceased its operation in Canal Walk. According to the Newton’s First Law of Motion, the cog’s, which used to turn in the old centre have stopped turning there due to a force impressed on it, hence our state of energy has changed. This new energy state, THE NEXT STEP is in motion already, however the only way we can continue to gain and keep momentum is through your support! Your support is the force we need to become the Cape Town Sciencentre.

The third law is also of much interest and very applicable during this time. “To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”.
IT’S SIMPLE!
*Action: CLOSING of the MTN Sciencentre in Canal Walk
*Reaction: OPENING of the Cape Town Science Centre.

This however will only be possible with your continued support. We have to combine forces and perform together to make change happen. Based on Science this is our new direction, and it is only with your continued and accelerated support that THE NEXT STEP will be as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
